When Souldiers first launched in mid-2022, it promised a delicious blend of 16-bit pixel art, tight Metroidvania exploration, and punishing Souls-like combat. What we got was a brilliant game buried under a mountain of technical debt—game-breaking bugs, corrupted saves, and loading screens that felt like mini-boss fights themselves.

However, if you hate "souls-like" stamina management or get frustrated easily by maze-like level design, no patch will convert you.
