- South London 2 Script Here
Kai locks his phone. Turns to Jay. The streetlights slice across their faces.
Dezzie from the estate?
JAY (19, hood up, restless) stares out the window. Next to him, KAI (20, calm, observant) scrolls on a cracked phone.
Where are we?
The doors open onto a wet pavement. Streetlight gold on black tarmac. A distant sound of music from a basement flat.
Mm?
(quietly) My mum thinks I’m at yours.
(Small pause) Yeah. Yeah, alright.
He said I’m not really from South. Said cos my mum’s from Ghana and my dad’s not in the picture, I don’t get a say. Don’t get a “postcode.”
Thanks. For coming.
Don’t be soft. Pay for my wings.
‘Course I came. You’re my mate.
(not looking up) And what does yours think? - South London 2 SCRIPT
