Four kids entertain themselves with daring adventures: during one of these, they steal a car, run over a policeman and escape to their hideout, a caravan on the dunes of Capocotta beach. The external façade of Patrizia’s brothel is villino Cirini, in via Ugo Bassi, Monteverde. Freddo’s brother and Roberta live in the same housing estate in Garbatella. The house of Terribile, which later becomes Lebanese’s, is Villa dell’Olgiata 2, in the area of Olgiata north of Rome, while Freddo lives in via Giuseppe Acerbi, in the Ostiense neighbourhood, not far from where Roberta’s car blows up in via del Commercio, in the shadow of the Gazometro.

There is a particular conversation that happens inside LGBTQ culture about the body. For cisgender gay and lesbian people, the body is often the site of desire. For trans people, the body is the site of negotiation .
To the outside observer, this linguistic evolution might look like confusion. But we know it is the opposite: it is clarity under duress .
Trans joy is a political act. In a world that expects you to be tragic, to be a cautionary tale, to be the sad episode of a TV drama, simply laughing with your found family is a form of guerrilla warfare.
But here is what the trans community has taught LGBTQ culture about survival:

People whose families have disowned them become adopted parents for a hundred new children. The laughter is not polite. To our queer siblings of every stripe: Remember that the Stonewall Rioters did not have a "L" night, a "G" night, a "B" night, and a "T" night. They had one night. One brick. One riot. One future.
