Jack begins to despair. Every portal he finds is either a trap, a mirage, or collapses upon approach. Aku, growing paranoid, unleashes his greatest weapon: – a mechanical beast that weaves threads of frozen time. Jack is caught and aged 20 years in seconds. But his spirit remains young. He breaks free, now a gray-streaked warrior.
Together, Jack and Ashi find his sword (buried in a skeleton’s ribcage inside a giant turtle’s stomach). They fight Aku’s – a mountain-sized robot. Ashi discovers she inherited Aku’s time-travel essence. She can open portals.
