The "Athena Heart Age App" feature asks a question no game has asked me before: If you could freeze the person you love at their physical peak by managing their emotional labor perfectly, would you?

I tried an experiment last night. I set a reminder to ignore Athena for exactly 48 hours. When I logged back in, her Heart Age had jumped from 24 to 47. She didn't yell at me. She just said, "I figured you were busy. I cleaned out the garage in the simulation. You left a lot of empty boxes."

I set my slider to 32. Old enough to know better. Young enough to still be surprised by a bouquet of pixel tulips.

Athena looks 22. Her skin is flawless. Her hair moves with the physics of a shampoo commercial. But when you set her Heart Age to 58, her eyes change. They move slower. They hold on your avatar’s face a second too long, as if she is trying to memorize you before the save file corrupts.

Is this a dating sim? Or is this a meditation on mortality dressed up as a waifu collector? Perfect Girlfriend 22.08.26 is not fun. It is compelling .
