"Parasite" is a 2019 South Korean black comedy thriller film directed by Bong Joon-ho. The film tells the story of the Kims, a poor family living in a cramped semi-basement apartment in Seoul. The family consists of father Ki-taek, mother Chung-sook, son Ki-woo, and daughter Ki-jung. They struggle to make ends meet, folding pizza boxes and scrounging for Wi-Fi signals to get by.
