Kinjou’s debut era was labeled "Shoegaze Revival" by the critics, but that never felt quite right. Yes, the guitars are loud enough to peel paint, and the vocals are buried so deep in the reverb that you have to strain to hear the poetry. But where most shoegaze hides, Mirei confronts .
