But after spending dozens of hours in the lab, I’ve realized it’s something far more profound. It’s a digital Zen garden disguised as a 2.5D brawler. Modern Dragon Ball games are gorgeous. FighterZ gave us the closest thing to watching the anime in our hands. But Hyper DBZ (and its Vision V5 iteration) does something FighterZ never could: it respects the limitations of the past to unlock the freedom of the imagination.
