There’s no snare drum until the bridge. No hi-hats until the final chorus. Instead, producer Kaelen Moriarty uses field recordings of rain, running taps, and ocean tides as percussion. You hear the click of a faucet handle. The squeak of a wet towel.

Lyrically, the song is a confession and a ritual. Cynthia describes the act of standing under a waterfall—literal or metaphorical—and letting past versions of herself dissolve. Verse two is particularly brutal:
